Mumbai Police fake scientist arrested Akhtar Qutubuddin Hussaini for posing as a BARC researcher with forged IDs, fake passports, and nuclear maps.

Following the apprehension of a fake scientist at the nuclear research facility in the country, which is the largest in the country, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai police have been able to retrieve some suspect nuclear information and 14 maps. These papers are being reviewed to establish whether they hold some sensitive or confidential nuclear information.

Last week Akhtar Qutubuddin Hussaini was arrested in Versova and presented himself as a scientist under different names. He was found with several forged passports, Aadhaar and PAN cards and counterfeit BARC IDs. One ID verified that he was Ali Raza Hussain whereas the other identified him as Alexander Palmer.
Hussaini is reported to have done multiple international calls in recent months and Hussaini call history is currently being tracked down. The law enforcement officials believe that he was connected to foreign networks that may be connected to the suspected nuclear information.

The inquiry has brought out a history of Hussaini transforming himself into his identity and living in disguise. In 2004, he was forced to leave Dubai after purporting to be one of the scientists who had secret documents. He had travelled to Dubai, Tehran and other destinations with forged passports after he was deported.

Counterfeit Passports and A Beefy Street.
In 1996, Akhtar Hussaini who lived in Jamshedpur had sold one of his ancestral houses, but he still received the counterfeiting documents through the assistance of his old acquaintances, said sources.

He had been introduced to Munazzil Khan a resident of Jharkhand by his brother Adil. The police suspect that Khan made them two fake passports using the name Hussaini Mohammad Adil and Nasimuddin Syed Adil Hussaini. The speech in the passports was that of their house in Jamshedpur which was sold almost 30 years ago.

Cops believe that the Hussaini brothers used such forged documents and false identities to go to foreign countries.
Sources say that Adil Hussaini was recently apprehended by the Delhi Police. However, in order to deceive the police, Akhtar Hussaini said in an interrogation that his brother had died a long time ago.
It has now been found out that the brother of Munazzil Khan, Ilyas Khan is also an accomplice and has been declared wanted. Ilyas Khan is charged with issuing forged educational qualifications to Akhtar Hussaini such as school and college degrees.

The police of Meerut also want Akhtar in a case of inciting and spreading discontent against the Uttar Pradesh government.
